Another study by Murillo-Rodriguez et al. established that CBD administration in rats during the day promotes wakefulness just like Changas et al. established in their study during light period. This study concluded that CBD helps in the prevention of sleep rebound after undergoing a period of sleep deprivation. Essentially, rats slept normally during the night that followed after receiving CBD under those conditions and they did not require extra sleep as would naturally be required to compensate for the poor sleep night.
