CBD For Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders are very problematic. That’s because sleep plays a crucial role of enhancing growth, performance, learning, and improving physical health and the immune system. Sleep deprivation of chronic insomnia is linked to poor response, poor performance, and increased risk of developing some diseases.

CBD for Sleep Disorders

The latest research shows that CBD can be a feasible treatment option for people with sleep disorders. Chagas et al. conducted a study that involved the administration of CBD in varied dosages to rats. The sleep habits of the rats were then compared to those of control rats. The results of this study showed a correlation between CBD and increased sleep time. Additionally, the study established that rats that received CBD were less likely to sleep during the day or light period. That means the rats did not just doze off. Instead, they achieved a normal or healthy sleep cycle on receiving a dose of CBD.

Another study by Murillo-Rodriguez et al. established that CBD administration in rats during the day promotes wakefulness just like Changas et al. established in their study during light period. This study concluded that CBD helps in the prevention of sleep rebound after undergoing a period of sleep deprivation. Essentially, rats slept normally during the night that followed after receiving CBD under those conditions and they did not require extra sleep as would naturally be required to compensate for the poor sleep night.

Why Consider Using CBD For Sleep Disorders

In the US, about 70 million individuals suffer from sleep disorders like insomnia and insufficient sleep. CBD has in the past been mistaken for a sedating agent. But, studies have shown that it can also be mind alerting when used in modest doses. Basically, CBD activates adenosine receptors the way stimulants like caffeine does. But, the results of numerous studies have shown that CBD has a complex role to play in the regulation of sleep and it may have a close relationship with natural sleep than tolerance-building and addictive pills that are used to treat sleep disorders. Many patients with sleep disorders have reported that ingesting CBD products like tinctures a few hours before they go to bed provides a balancing effect. This enables them to have a good night sleep.

Right now, people with sleep disorders can buy CBD products online without prescriptions. Such products include CBD tinctures, CBD pills, CBD oil, CBD edibles, and CBD crystals. Learn about them on this website before you choose the product to buy.
